    ***This position is available in our Nashville or Huntsville office***

     

    The Sales Engineer serves as the primary technical resource for the sales team.  Responsibilities include working with the sales team and prospective clients to determine technical requirements and conceptualize the network design required in order to fulfill the solution being marketed to the prospective client. The Sales Engineer is also responsible for ensuring all technical information required is communicated into an order. The Sales Engineer will conduct pre-sales site surveys and will also be responsible for training the sales and customer service teams on our products.  Must enjoy and have the ability to work successfully in a team environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with customers and prospects to determine needs, goals, and identify problems
    • Conduct pre-sales and/or post-sales customer site surveys
    • Work closely and effectively with the sales team to develop customer solutions
    • Perform technical sales support.
    • Demonstrate products at customer/prospect sites
    • Conduct product training for sales team and customer service team
    • Develop and maintain effective communications and working relationships

    Qualifications

    *This position is tiered based on years of experience and other qualifcations*

     

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years telecommunications work experience required.
    • Strong understanding of networking, routing and switching required.
    • Experience with network design, Ethernet, fiber optics, MPLS, Alcatel-Lucent TIMOS, TCP/IP, VOIP, SIP, and Wi-Fi, are desired.
    • Excellent personal computer skills are required within Windows, Excel, Word, Vizio, and Outlook.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn a technical product or service and effectively sell or support that product.
    • Versatile relationship skills in order to maintain relationships with our account base.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills that will provide the ability to manage multiple projects.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Must work some evenings and Saturdays when requested. Must use a computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing the computer screen. Travel throughout footprint required; appropriate licensure and insurance eligibility required. Must be able to work in an office environment and also work outside and traverse varied terrain in adverse weather conditions.
