Cellular South, Inc. d/b/a C Spire seeks full-time Software Developer II to join its team in Brentwood, TN, the primary area of intended employment. Periodic travel to HQ in Ridgeland, MS may be required.
Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of highly specialized web-based applications; work with team of Software Developers to solve complex problems and deliver automated, scalable and exceptional user experiences. Additionally, the duties include: develop new programs or modify existing applications based on project requirements, following established standards for the design, coding, and testing of software; work with internal and external customers to validate system testing and conformity with C Spire requirements; assist in unit and integration testing, presenting results, and obtaining agreement and approval; follow change management and implementation procedures; research, propose, and implement solutions to production issues and trouble tickets as assigned; and, prepare program and process documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science; strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, lifecycle methodologies, practices, and procedures within the software development field, especially UNIX and Windows operating systems; software development experience, specifically front-end web-based applications, and the ability to effectively troubleshoot system problems; excellent oral and written communication skills; and, knowledge and working ability in software web-based applications, including Java, Spring Framework, JSON, REST, SOAP, SQL, XML, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.
