Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Exercising accounting control over a group of general ledger accounts
- Recording, analyzing and interpreting financial transactions and communicating results to management
- Reconciling general ledger account balances
- Creating financial statements or other reports in conformity with GAAP or other regulatory standards
- Researching technical accounting issues and assisting in new standard implementations
- Assisting in coordination of external audit
- Serving as a subject matter expert on projects which require specialized accounting knowledge, research, and application of assigned areas
- Making recommendations to management for problem resolution
- Using various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports
- Performing additional duties as assigned
