C Spire's on-site Administrative Operations Specialist will be responsible for the general operation of our Homewood, Alabama office and administrative assistant to C Spire’s CFO.

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Homewood, AL office. 
  • Answers phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors. 
  • Carries out administrative duties such as document preparation and shipping. 
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results. 
  • Assists other C Spire team members in community engagement, economic development, and business development efforts in relation to the C Spire brand. 
  • Assists travel arrangements for senior staff including scheduling of aircraft, cars, and hotel or restaurant reservations. 
  • Mange travel schedule for corporate owned aircraft. 
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail. 
  • Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication. 
  • Serves as receptionist for office. 
  • Ensures operation of equipment by ensuring completion of preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques. 
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 

Qualifications

 

  • 4-year college degree required; marketing, communications, business, accounting, or human resources fields of study preferred. 
  • At least 3 years of executive assistant or closely related experience required. 
  • Proven experience with report writing, process improvement, supply management and inventory control, and general problem solving required. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat required. 
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
