Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, collaborating with various departments throughout the company, and providing exceptional support to team members with payroll-related inquiries. This role will require excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues.

  • Payroll Processing: Utilize Workday to accurately process payrolls for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Commission Processing: Assist with the processing of commissions for eligible employees, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payments.
  • Collaboration with Accounting: Work closely with the accounting department to facilitate check requests and ensure proper accounting treatment for payroll-related transactions.
  • Reporting: Pull various reports including state and federal reports and other internal payroll reports as needed, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
  • Inquiry Handling: Provide timely and accurate responses to team members' inquiries regarding payroll, including tax withholding, deductions, and other related matters.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
  • Workday Maintenance: Complete team member changes in Workday, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll systems is required, 4+ years preferred.
    • Proficiency in Workday or similar payroll processing software required.
    • Strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and compliance requirements required.
    • Must be able to work 100% onsite from our Corporate office in Ridgeland, MS.
    • Must be able to complete 1-2 weeks of overnight travel to Knoxville, TN for initial job training.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment required.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities required.
  • PREFERRED
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and mouse, while viewing computer screen. Must be willing to work flexible schedule which may include occasional work after-hours.
