Overview

The Inside Sales Specialist’s main purpose is to assist the Commercial and Select Sales

teams so that they can utilize their time and abilities to maximize sales opportunities. An

Inside Sales Specialist ensures all needs and requests are met efficiently and accurately and

will need to build a positive relationship with the sales team, other internal teams (ordering,

billing, etc.), vendors and customers.

Quotes:

o Research availability and pricing of requested products.

o Work directly with manufacturer/distributor representatives to obtain best

pricing of products.

o Maintain knowledge of various partner discounts to ensure accurate pricing is

delivered to the customer.

o Create quotes within quoting tool.

o Provide C Spire quote to outside sales representative and/or customer.

Order Preparation:

o Validate all previously acquired pricing, configurations, availability when

purchase order is received from customer.

o Ensure accuracy of quote information (e.g., bill to, ship to), based on

purchase order received from customer.

o Prepare/update quote with all required information necessary for the ordering

team to process the order.

o Follow up on processed orders when necessary to provide order status, ETA,

SO#, etc. to customer, sales representative, and/or manufacturer account

manager when requested.

o Request expedited orders and cancel orders when necessary.

Other Functions:

o Process all new resale orders as they are received.

o Facilitate return requests when needed by obtaining all necessary information

regarding the initial order and return reason from customer/sales

representative/engineer.

o Work with our accounting and/or billing teams to assist with any invoice

questions/issues.

o Assist with customer software/hardware issues by communicating with

manufacturer, distributor, sales representative, and/or engineer for

resolution.

Vendor Deal/Opportunity Registrations:

o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all partner registration requirements.

o Request/enter opportunity information to obtain partner registration.

o Ensure registration status remains valid while customer opportunity is open.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

o Minimum two (2) years of work experience in a sales environment where

goals were met or exceeded is required; three years preferred.o Must have excellent oral interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.

o Must have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent, college is

preferred.

o Salesforce usage, or similar program, and/or support required.
