Overview

Every team member of C Spire is charged with bringing our strategic vision of personalized wireless to life.  Work in the IT Infrastructure department to provide and maintain highly specialized solutions for C Spire’s internal public and private clouds, and our commercial data center and cloud services.  Perform a variety of administrative and technical work using defined standards, constraints and system requirements to manage the infrastructure of the corporate enterprise including security, planning, designing, maintaining, troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrading and system management in production, test, and development environments

  • Job Specific Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design and implementation C Spire Business cloud, data center, and related infrastructure, including internal enterprise systems
  • Provide technology expertise for Windows Server Core, VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon, Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, and Azure environments
  • Maintains an expert level knowledge of all products, technologies, tools, methodologies, and services used within the department
  • Develop standards and specifications used to deliver C Spire Business services both internally and to customers
  • Automate the design, build, testing, and deployment of solutions and standards using tools such as PowerShell, DSC, Ansible, and related
  • Possess knowledge of and/or demonstrate ability to learn the Company business processes and Information Technology tools, products and environments. 
  • Acquires and maintains working knowledge of business processes and procedures
  • Interfaces with other teams, vendors, and business units as part of the service and support process
  • Perform Tier III+ / Engineering level operational support for covered technologies, including on-call support
  • Performs systems installation, administration, operations, maintenance, support, testing, upgrades, performance monitoring, business continuance, and documentation
  • Backup / Disaster Recovery / High Availability …
  • Anticipates and identifies potential problems before they occur and implements solutions
  • Ensures adherence to formal processes, standards and total quality practices in all activities
  • Successfully able to lead and mentor less experienced team members
  • Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts
  • Successfully complete other assignments as requested by management

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

 

  • 5+ years supporting Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Active Directory, Office 365, Citrix, or Azure Environments at an enterprise scale
  • Proven ability to write and debug PowerShell and other scripting languages
  • In-depth networking knowledge and experience
  • In-depth backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability experience
  • Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the technologies to be supported
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment
  • Provides technical guidance and mentoring of team members
  • Experience leading projects

 

PREFERRED:

 

  • Software deployment & patching experience
  • In depth understanding of mail flow including filtering, Exchange online, and email gateways
  • Hands on knowledge of Active Directory and email migrations to Office 365
  • Knowledge of networking WAN/LAN protocols including DHCP, DNS, and WINS
  • Experience with Citrix Cloud, Virtual Apps and Desktops, and App Layering
  • Securing and hardening Windows server environments
  • Experience supporting VMware infrastructure
  • Load Balancer experience specifically F5 and/or Citrix NetScaler
  • Configuration within Azure AD for SSO, conditional access, and identity management
  • Automation using PowerShell
  • PKI knowledge includes SCEP, Active Directory Certificate Services, and OCSP
  • Certifications in one or more of the above technologies
