We are looking for our next Marketing Copywriter, a confident, versatile, and adept wordsmith with many years of professional writing experience in an agency, in-house marketing, or brand journalism environment.  As our new Copywriter, you’ll work in tandem with our in-house team of experienced writers and designers as part of a collaborative internal creative department. Your daily writing remit will vary from pithy promos and long-form blogs and case studies to video scripts, internal comms, and ongoing oversight of our brand voice.  We work in a fun, fast-paced, always-on, workplace where ambitious go-getters thrive, doers get things done, and never-settlers can grow and develop professionally.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an ambassador for the C Spire brand. Articulate, infuse, and disseminate our values, mission, and core beliefs through all aspects of your work.
  • Write with confidence and fluency across all our lines of business (wireless, home fiber, business) in a variety of styles, lengths, and formats.
  • Be a team player. You’ll work and write in tandem others and wear many hats – it’s part of what makes things fun – so a willingness to put your hand up and pitch in when necessary is essential.
  • Prior knowledge of our core lines of business is not a mandatory but a desire to learn and a willingness to invest yourself in them is. You’ll be required to cultivate a robust understanding of the wireless, fiber and business tech space, and develop a sixth sense for how best to sell their potential.
  • Ability to work on a project from soup to nuts: Discovery, research, interviews, strategy, promotion, and execution. In other words, put in the work, find your pitch, and sell, sell, sell.
  • An obsession with grammar is a must.


    • At least five years of experience working in an ad agency, in-house marketing, or brand journalism environment.
    • Strong portfolio of writing examples: short and long form copy, brand, and internal comms.
    • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft, Apple, and Adobe productivity tools.
    • Ability to balance priorities and needs of multiple time-sensitive projects.
    • Collaborative team player comfortable working in tandem with others.
    • Examples of video or streaming audio/radio scripts is helpful.
    • Knowledge of the tech space an advantage.


Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen.
